Voldsom Enterprises helps business owners solve problems with their systems and processes to improve profits and run smoothly. President and Founder Michelle LaRue brings her passions for wine and workability to supporting vineyards and wineries in creating businesses that are economically, socially, and environmentally sustainable from grape to glass (although she confesses that breweries and distilleries hold a place of appreciation as well).
Through more than 25 years of designing environmental compliance solutions for manufacturers and government agencies, she discovered that the best results are achieved by focusing on the good practices entities already have in place, and then expanding the company’s/agency’s ability to choose additional actions consistent with the “triple bottom line” of environmentally friendly, socially equitable, and economically viable operations. Borrowing from her engineering background working with dozens of different organizations, she brings an outsider’s fresh perspective and an insider’s cultural sensitivity to communicating necessary changes in a manner that her client can receive and respond to them.
Her recent focus on the beverage industry grows out of the awareness that global climate change is affecting the lands on which her beloved wine grapes are grown. Winemakers and vineyard owners in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, France, Italy, Chile, and the U.S. have begun to adopt a more systematic approach to preserving their greatest asset while insuring continuing economic viability, including implementation of ISO 14001. The intersection of wine knowledge, industrial processes, and environmental management systems makes for the unique skillset Voldsom brings to our wine business clients.
